A business services provider was experiencing network slowdowns every couple of weeks between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and the support staff was unable to identify the cause. The team suspected that the slowdowns might be due to backups but the database administrators asserted that all backups were run only in the middle of the night. Mazu Profiler showed that, due to a configuration error, one of the backups was scheduled to run during morning hours.
